These Terms and Conditions for DJ Sime Disco Hire

protect both the entertainer and the client.

By booking, you agree to our

Retainer and Cancellation Policy,

our Final Payment Terms

and our Equipment Liability clauses.

This agreement also outlines the Travel Surcharge

and Force Majeure protocols

for all events in Leeds and West Yorkshire.

1. Booking: Retainer and Cancellation Policy

Under these conditions, the initial booking fee (retainer)

secures your date and is non-refundable.

Cancellations: If you cancel with more than 14 days notice,

a credit note for the retainer will be issued.

Date Changes: Requests made with 14+ days notice

are subject to availability.

2. Final Payment and Performance

The Final Payment Terms require the outstanding

balance to be paid in full at the start of the event,

immediately following setup.

Payment must be in cash unless agreed in writing.

If these requirements are not met,

the DJ reserves the right to withhold performance.

3. Logistics: Travel Surcharge and Access

Travel Surcharge: A Travel Surcharge of £20–£60

applies for venues over 20 miles from Leeds Centre.

City Centre: A £50 surcharge applies for

Leeds, York and other major city centres

due to loading complexity.

Stairs/Access: An access surcharge of £10–£20

applies for setups involving floor levels without lifts.

4. Safety and Equipment Liability

In accordance with our Equipment Liability rules,

the Client is responsible for any damage caused to

the DJ’s equipment by guests or unauthorised persons.

The full cost of repair or replacement

must be covered by the Client.

5. Force Majeure and Liability

Under the Force Majeure clause,

the DJ is not liable for failures caused by events

beyond reasonable control

(e.g: extreme weather or power failure).

In a Force Majeure scenario,

liability is limited to a refund of payments received,

excluding the retainer.

6. Performance Policies

Music Policy: We prioritise your requests

and crowd engagement.

Playlists: Must be submitted 7 days prior

via Streaming Link, text or email.

Overtime: Must be agreed upon on the night.

Digital payments incur a £10 admin fee.
